FAQ
Where can I find my personal information and energy consumption data?
As an electric customer, the easiest way to find the information is through Oma Fortum app or My Fortum online service.
Information about your electric vehicle (EV) charging, e.g. your charging history and payments, can be found in the Fortum Charge & Drive Finland app.
How can I correct or update my data?
In My Fortum web service, you can update your email address, phone number, invoicing address, communication language (Finnish or Swedish) and marketing channels (e-mail or text message). In other cases, for example, a name change, please contact our customer services 0200 19000 (from abroad +358 104 566 080).
After logging into the service, you can change your Oma Fortum user ID: User profile. You can update your password in the Forgot your password -page.
If you are moving house and need a new contract with us, your information will be updated when the contract is made. If your are unsure about this, please call 0200 80000 (from abroad +358 10 4566100).
I no longer have a contract with Fortum. What data about me do you save?
We only keep the necessary information and the information that is required by law, from example, by the Finnish Accounting Act. In Finland, data related to invoicing can be kept for up to 10 years.
Why do Fortum ads follow me online?
To make our products and services better known, we advertise them online. We try to find opportunities to target marketing to people who might be interested in the services in question. Advertisements you see can be based on a cookie that has been sent to your browser after you’ve visited our website or a particular page, and on the basis of which we determine that you might be interested in our services. We also buy ad placements that are visible to everyone, i.e. regardless of browsing history. For more examples of our online advertising, see our Privacy Notice.
How can I block telemarketing?
If necessary, Fortum will call you to make sure your contract is in order and that it meets your needs as fully as possible. During the telephone call, it may also be a good idea to check that the personal information we have about you is up to date.
If you no longer want to receive marketing calls from Fortum, you can contact our customer service or inform the customer service representatives during the marketing call.
In addition you can manage your choices through the National opt out register https://www.asml.fi/kieltopalvelut (in Finnish). Fortum complies with any such restrictions that have been put in place.
Ordering one’s own personal data
If you want to order a copy of all the personal data that Fortum has about you, you can make the request by logging in using your online banking identification details or a mobile certificate. Request your data
