Maksujousto is a service that gives you more freedom compared to the usual electricity bill: you can choose when to pay and how much to pay in each instalment.

One particularly useful feature is that the service will suggest steady monthly payments, even if your consumption changes.

As a Fortum Maksujousto customer, you will receive twelve payment suggestions per year. Based on the suggestions, you can pay for your yearly electricity in smaller steady instalments, if you so choose. You get to decide when and how much to pay, within the limits of a flexible margin equal to the sum of two monthly instalments. The basic principle is that in the cumulative twelve-month-period, you will pay the entire sum corresponding to your annual consumption.

The payment suggestion will show your payment transactions for the previous month, your balance, and how much of your margin has been used. The term of payment is 14 days, until the deadline. If you do not pay by the deadline, the service will assume you are using the margin.

Regardless of your electricity consumption or contract, the Maksujousto service will provide you with an account statement at the beginning of each month.

You can pay in advance on any day you choose, or within two months of getting the statement in accordance with your margin.

Yes. If you are using the Maksujousto service, you can pay in advance if you wish. You can also use the two-month margin within your personal flexibility limits and pay later.

It depends on how you are using the Maksujousto service. The service aims to even out the payments for every month of the year. If you always pay according to the suggestion, your monthly instalments will remain more consistent even if your electricity consumption varies greatly. This is useful for households using electric heating, for example, as they consume a lot of electricity during the winter months.

On the other hand, if you want to make use of the margin by paying at more convenient times, you can always check the status of your margin in the account statement. If you have not used your margin yet, the full margin is double the predicted monthly consumption.

The Maksujousto service offers a flexible margin equal to the sum of two monthly instalments. This feature allows you to miss one monthly payment. However, you should always check your payment history in your account statement.

Yes. The payment suggestions are made to even out your payments over a twelve-month-period. Even if most of your electricity consumption happens in the winter, the instalments are more evenly distributed compared to the usual monthly billing.

However, the suggested instalments may not be exactly the same every month, as Maksujousto automatically adjusts the twelve-month-prediction every two months depending on whether your consumption matches the normal consumption profile of a customer with electric heating.

The Maksujousto service fee is EUR 4.90 per month, regardless of your electricity contract or consumption. All your electricity contracts will be linked to the same service. The service fee covers all costs.

Yes. In this case, you will receive one collective payment suggestion, which includes all billing transactions and payments for the contracts linked to your Maksujousto account.

This way, you can pay for and manage both your contracts at the same time for one service fee of EUR 4.90 per month.

Number of bills

Electricity is billed based on the customer’s electricity consumption. The less electricity you consume, the longer the interval between bills. You may receive 4, 6 or 12 bills per year. Payment suggestions, on the other hand, are sent to you every month regardless of your consumption.

Making payments

After you make a contract with us for the Maksujousto service, the first payment suggestion (account statement) will be sent on paper to your billing address. If you wish, you can then make a new e-invoicing agreement with your bank to allow us to send subsequent payment suggestions as e-invoices to your online banking platform.

If you set the instalments to be paid automatically using your online banking service, the instalments will be charged in accordance with the payment suggestion. You can also change the sum total within the limits of your flexible margin.

Palvelu jakaa alla mainitut 12 kuukauden kustannukset tasaisiin maksuehdotuksiin:

• vuosikulutusennuste,
• sähkön hinta,
• mahdollinen Carunan sähkönsiirron hinta ja
• mahdollisten lisäpalveluiden hinnat.

Ehdotettua summaa tarkastellaan kuukausittain. Summa muuttuu, kun sähkön hinta tai kulutus muuttuu.

Maksuehdotus perustuu aina aiemmin toteutuneen ja sitä seuraavan 12 kk ennustettuun laskutukseen. Palvelu huomioi kulutuksen ja hinnanmuutokset pitkällä aikavälillä automaattisesti.

Jos sähkösopimuksesi, joka on liitetty Maksujoustoon, päättyy myös Maksujousto-palvelu päätetään automaattisesti. Maksujousto-palvelu on voimassa toistaiseksi ja se edellyttää, että sinulla on Fortumin voimassaoleva sähkösopimus. Sinulla on oikeus irtisanoa Maksujousto -palvelu kahden viikon irtisanomisajalla.

Sinun ei tarvitse ilmoittaa erikseen käyttäväsi joustoa. Jos et maksa kuukausimaksua eräpäivään mennessä palvelu tulkitsee sinun käyttävän joustoa.

Voit kahden kuukauden jouston puitteissa maksaa ehdotuksen sinulle parhaiten soveltuvana ajankohtana, vaivattomasti ilman eräpäivän siirtoja.

Jos ylität käytettävissä olevan jouston määrän, olemme sinuun yhteydessä ja kerromme, miten toimia.

Pitääksesi maksuehdotuksesi summat tasaisina ympäri vuoden, suosittelemme maksamaan vain Maksuehdotuksessa ehdotettu kuukausimaksu.

Jos kuitenkin olet maksanut enemmän, huomioimme tämän tasaisesti seuraavien 12 kuukauden maksuehdotuksissamme.

Jos haluat maksaa jouston pois kerralla, lisää summa kuukausimaksuun. Käytetyn jouston voit maksaa pois milloin tahansa.

Kyllä. Fortumilla on oikeus irtisanoa sopimus yhden kuukauden irtisanomisajalla, jos asiakas ei täytä sopimuksessa vaadittavia ehtoja.

• Jos suorittamasi maksut eivät kata toteutuneita kuluja, laskutamme erotuksen seuraavalla laskulla /loppulaskulla.
• Huomioithan, että Maksuehdotukset koskevat noin kahden kuukauden takaista kulutusta, joten seuraavalle laskulle/loppulaskulle tulee edellisen kahden kuukauden kulutukseen perustuva summa mahdollisten muiden avoimien saatavien lisäksi.
